2. Data Types Collected

EnergIA operates under a Privacy-First architecture. Data processed includes:

  • Energy Bills & Consumption Data: kWh consumption (F1, F2, F3 time slots or single rate), gas Smc, energy supply costs, transport tariffs, system charges and taxes extracted from bills via OCR or XML/P7M parsing.
  • Scanned Files and Images: Bill photos and user-selected PDF/XML files. All OCR text processing is computed locally on-device.
  • Local Settings & Estimates: User preferences, custom offer catalogs, and quote history stored locally on the device (`SharedPreferences`).
  • Technical & Diagnostic Data: Anonymous session IDs, OS version, and crash logs solely used to ensure stability and security.

3. Device Permissions Required

  • Camera: Used exclusively for live OCR scanning of paper electricity and gas bills.
  • Photo Library & File Storage: To pick PDF/XML/P7M documents and export generated PDF quote reports to device storage.
  • Notifications (Optional): For alerts on contract expirations or market price index shifts (PUN / PSV).

4. Purposes and Legal Basis

  1. Service Provision (Art. 6.1.b GDPR): Bill scanning, consumption analysis, and ARERA tariff calculations.
  2. PDF Report Generation (Art. 6.1.b GDPR): Generating transparent PDF summary quotes upon user request.
  3. Security & Maintenance (Art. 6.1.f GDPR): Debugging, error prevention, and application stability.

5. Data Retention & Erasure (Store Guidelines)

In compliance with Google Play Store and Apple App Store Guidelines (Section 5.1):

  • All energy records, scans, and quotes are kept locally on your device. Uninstalling the app or wiping app data removes all records permanently.
  • For any privacy inquiries or support requests, email privacy@vcuria.app. Requests are handled within 30 days.

6. User Rights (GDPR)

Under EU Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR), users have the right to access, rectify, export, or request deletion of personal data by writing to privacy@vcuria.app.
